Unique artist studio accommodation in Lorne, the Great Ocean Road, Victoria
I love creating warm, welcoming spaces for my guests to enjoy and this accommodation is no exception. Our two-bedroom, cosy artist cottage accommodation is at the foot of the Otways. It includes private access to a separate artist’s studio we encourage all of our guests to use this beautiful space to reconnect with nature and have space and freedom to create, relax and enjoy.
More about Jill
Jillian Ridgeway is an award-winning artist and a proud, loving mum and mamma.
Jill studied Art and Art History throughout secondary school. A creative soul, Jill’s interests include painting, spinning, knitting, woodwork, pottery, dressmaking, singing and guitar.
Over the past 12 years, Jill has renewed her art skills by completing studies with Open Colleges and Draw PJ, two mentorships, and courses including the Ester Erlich Portrait workshop, the Painting miniatures workshop with Tyrone Layne, and the Margaret Ollie workshop with Laura Jones.
Jill was pleasantly surprised when she began winning awards for her art and people started buying it too. Over the years, Jill’s paintings have been exhibited everywhere from local to international galleries, restaurants and exhibitions. Her art has also been commissioned and sold to patrons in Australia, the Netherlands and the USA.
Jill is very proud to have been a featured artist in both Artist’s Palette magazine and Colac Herald. She was also one of the winners of the Surf Coast Shire Calendar Competition in 2016.
Jill lives in Lorne with her wonderful husband, Ian and their pomeranian, Maxi.
